It’s a leader’s responsibility to create an environment in which their team feels psychologically safe – especially in this current time with so many of our colleagues working from home and adjusting to everything that means. Sometimes there will be errors made or a customer not contacted on time etc. This means there will need to be a discussion as to how that happened. The tone of that conversation will be very important when done remotely. In other words, working towards creating an environment where they’re willing to admit that they’re struggling or made a mistake because they know someone will be there to support them.
